In your honest opinion, is a fetus alive??

Don't feel any obligation to explain yourself, but if you do vote you could bump..

Please be respectful, I'm legitimately just curious.

That's a hard one to answer with your choices. I don't feel it is technically alive at conception but I do feel it is alive before viability.

Same. As soon as that heart starts to beat I believe is when it's alive. And at 22 weeks and feeling the ninja status in my belly at the moment....its DEFINITELY alive now lmao

I apologize, I just didn't see another way to list options without going through trimester by trimester, I guess that would have been a better option but I would have had to include implantation, conception, the 20 weeks marker etc.;

Thanks for replying though :)

Well, if it's dead, it wouldn't be growing. So yes, it's alive.

What about a simple "yes" with no modifiers.

Technically, it's alive. So are tumors though. It's viability is the more important question.

Yes it is alive, but not capable of independent life (until viability). In much the same way my liver or heart or digestive system is 'alive', but not capable if independent life.

It is alive but until viability only as a parasite. If it didn't have a host which is the mom it wouldn't be a living thing until viability.
