Your wedding ring!

Do you ever take it off? Shower, doing dishes, bedtime, etc.

(Why I'm asking... My friend thinks its bad that I take my ring off when I shower. LOL!)

When I first got married I never took it off until I got pregnant and couldn't wear it.  When we replaced the diamond I learned that it was better for the ring if I didn't sleep or shower with it on so I took it off at night and put it back on after my shower.

Never?!?!

Not in the shower or dishes or anything? What about when you go swimming?

I am so scared to wear mine in the shower because I'm afraid it will slip off and go down the drain...

I always take my rings off at night and put them back when I remember I own rings.

I take it off for a couple days each month, when I'm retaining water around the start of my period. I take it off when I'm working with papier mache, driveway sealant, polyurethane, paint, etc, or doing carpentry or heavy gardening work where it could injure me. It's not like I'm rejecting my marriage when I slip it off for comfort, ease of cleanup, or safety. It's a piece of jewelry, not a marriage.

That's my husband. It's a hazard so he keeps his ring on his keychain at work...
