How Would You Feel if This Were Your Child's Classroom?
I think it would be great. I wish there were more caring people like this teacher
Awww, that is so sweet that he cares so much for his students.

Incredible rapport between this teacher and his students. The children are encouraged to think, feel and share.
I was very pleased to see this teacher hug back when the student wanted to hug his teacher. I reminded me of the warmth I felt as a child in my classes. That warmth that has been `policied' away from American schools.
I love that he hugs and kisses the students. yes, child molestation is horrible. but so is withholding normal human affection.
and I really like the idea of a teacher staying with a class though the primary years. it's one of the things I really like about Waldorf education.
the empathy and respect in that classroom is wonderful. I think in a lot of public schools here a kid would get teased for being so open about their grief.
it's too dear of a cost, if you ask me.
and it hasn't stopped molesters, it just creates a barrier between teachers and students. it seems kind of backwards to me, I'd rather learn from someone warm and supportive, someone I feel cares about me, than some cold automoton.
