The No 'Poo Method changed my hair! I've been on this method almost a year, and I am so thankful I kissed shampoo goodbye! I have never loved my hair this much in my whole life. It is smooth, shiny, wavy, and has tons of body. No Poo Method: 1 to 2 tbsp baking soda in a jar of water, shake and pour over roots, then massage scalp well and rinse. Pour ACV/water mixture (1 to 2 tbsp ACV mixed in a bottle of water) over ends, rinse and Voila! I only wash my hair every 3 to 4 days on this method. ♥

What do YOU think? Would you try it? Have you tried it?

Yea but your hair is curled. Hair naturally looks less frizzy when it's curled. That's why pros say to curl it to hide frizz. The real test would be two straightened pics

your hair looks the same. it just looks like you brightened the picture on the right. you can clearly tell from your skin. lets see legit pics right now with no photo editing and see if we can tell a difference

These are both photos taken by professionals. I apologize if you don't like the brightness of the second photo,... I live in a very cloudy/gray place (WA state) and can't control that aspect of the photos. I guess it was sunnier in the after pic. For myself, the biggest thing I see in the photos is the difference in frizziness. But on a daily basis, living with this method, what I love the most is the body my hair has now, with or without styling. It's hard to capture that in pictures. It is definitely smoother too.

I couldn't do that. I only wash my hair once, maybe twice a week and the only product I put in it is this shine oil. My hair has always been nice and healthy because I take good care of it.

I have tried this a couple of times. I cant get past the oily stage. I have to work and cannot bring myself to go to work with oily hair. I would love to do it because my hair is sooooo stinkin dry at the ends and i know its because of the chemicals and styling but i just cant get past that part. I have found that i wash my hair less tho and end up just rinsing my hair and using conditioner on my roots more often than before. I have a hard time with no lather tho too. That was hard for me.

1 mom liked this

I used the disposable "juice" drink containers with a squeeze top, like this:

Then put 1 T. baking soda to a full bottle of water in one container.  Put 1 T. vinegar to a full bottle of water in the other for the rinse.  The advantage to using the squeeze bottles, imo, is controlling how much solution goes in your hair and where (either scalp or ends).  The bottles I have are approx. 10 oz (1¼ cup) so it's always consistent if you measure your other ingredients and if you use different sized bottles, you can scale up or down depending on how the 1 T:1 cup works on your own hair.  I have medium-long hair and I get about 2.5 washes per 10 oz. bottle.

I've recently started using baking soda to wash my hair a few times a week but I can't bring myself to use vinegar. The smell of vinegar makes me gag!!

You can use lemon juice instead of vinegar.
