The No 'Poo Method changed my hair! I've been on this method almost a year, and I am so thankful I kissed shampoo goodbye! I have never loved my hair this much in my whole life. It is smooth, shiny, wavy, and has tons of body. No Poo Method: 1 to 2 tbsp baking soda in a jar of water, shake and pour over roots, then massage scalp well and rinse. Pour ACV/water mixture (1 to 2 tbsp ACV mixed in a bottle of water) over ends, rinse and Voila! I only wash my hair every 3 to 4 days on this method. ♥

What do YOU think? Would you try it? Have you tried it?

I do it, without the acv,and only wash every week to week and a half.

Ive been trying co washing as it works so well on my daughters hair, and my hair is responding well.

Just say no to poo.

Using baking soda occasionally, especially after chlorine exposure, is okay with my hair. But, if used consistently, it tends to rough up the cuticle too much on my hair, causing damage (it is an abrasive).

I do use ACV when I do get build-up, but after switching shampoos to Dove's Intensive Hair Repair, my hair had been very healthy.

You would just substitute the ACV with lemon juice. So like a tablespoon of lemon juice per cup of water. Rinse on ends after baking soda rinse/scalp massage. I hope that helps! I found lots of info by googling "no poo method" and reading forums. There are lots of ways of tweaking the method so it works for you.

I think I don't care enough about my hair to put that much effort into it. Glad it worked for you, but I'l stick with the premixed stuff I get at the store.

I use coconut oil sometimes to condition my hair but I'm almost out of it now and I'm waiting for my new jar to arrive in the mail.

Also my hair is permed. Does that make a difference in what I should use?

It smells even worse at 5am but it helps you wake up pretty quickly.

I've recently started using baking soda to wash my hair a few times a week but I can't bring myself to use vinegar. The smell of vinegar makes me gag!!
