It's big news here in AZ, but is anyone else following?

Shot in the head, throat slit, and 29 stab wounds....a bit of overkill for self defense and this chicks story has changed 3 times. Not to mention the sex and shower photos taken of her AND him only moment before his was murdered....and pictures on his camera of his dead, bloody body....is there any way this woman in not guilty??

I'm glued to this trial....

UPDATE 2/20

I've been keeping tabs on all the comments and I have to say, as far as girls wanting the acceptance of a male figure, they do what they can to please them. That's a fact. So he could have been humiliating her sexually. No one but those two can know for sure. I know women who do what they can and aim to please an abusive man. I also know that many abusive men aren't abusinve where everyone can see, so I don't think any of us can say she's lying about that. Because we just don't know.

HOWEVER, she has had 5 years to study up on battered woman syndrom and psychology when it comes to any type of abused woman and figure out what her story will be. I can't say no he wasn't abusive, because I don't know them. I wasn't a fly on the wall when everything was going down, so unfortunately we have to (to a point) go by what she is saying. But as far as her testimony today, and watching her interviews from the past, I find the fact that it wasn't premeditated and the fact that it went down the way she claims it did, VERY hard to believe. So I believe she should get life for premeditation.

I get a woman who is so sexually or physically abused by a man she loves snapping and blacking out and killing him because, sometimes you just cannot take it anymore. BUT I just cannot bring myself to buy her story of what happened the day she killed him. The evidence strongly points at him being blitz attacked. That he didn't see it coming.

Keep weighing in ladies!

3/7/13

WOW!!! An awesome insight into what the jurors are thinking. They don't seem to be buying her "I don't remember" bs about killing Travis. They also seem to be leaning more towards it looking like premeditation. They asked pretty good questions IMO.

What do you think about the jury questions??

3/25

IMO this "expert" has crippled the defense instead of helping them. I'm almost wondering why the state doesn't rest now lol. Why is the defense keeping this man on the stand. He's suppose to be back up there but this go round is with Juan Martinez (who i love by the way he's like a little chihuahua nipping at your ankles lol). After this, I almost see no win for the defense. ALSO: new evidence about Jodi being the original companion for Travis' Cancun vacay, then bumped for another woman....slam dunk motive. Do you agree or disagree?

5/3

Wow....I can't believe its almost over. What did you tihnk about Nurmi and Martinez' closing arguments? What are your verdict predictions?? Remember...people were so sure OJ and Casey Anthony would be found guilty.....My prediction is the state will get what they want with 1st degree murder.

Let us all hope that justice is done for Travis and his family whatever the outcome!

5/8

In case you haven't heard GUILTY 1ST DEGREE FELONY AND PREMEDITATED MURDER.....will she get death or just life in prison?

Justice for Travis and his family has been done. RIP TRAVIS ALEXANDER

I am watching this trial.  In some ways it reminds me of the Scott Peterson case...the lies she tells to everyone all the time.

She's on the stand as I  type this and I'm sure the prosecutor is chomping at the bit to cross examine her.  I think her testimony will completely unravel when she is crossed and her true personality will come through.

The defense offended me when they repeatedly kept referring to the "beatings" she suffered as a child.  She was not beaten.

I watched her on the stand also.  What got me annoyed was the fact that the defense spent the entire time she was on the stand asking her questions about her childhood, and her relationships with past boyfriends, there was not one mention of her relationship with the man she is accused of killing. From what I can tell is that this woman has no defense, and that is why her lawyers are trying so hard to present her as a victim of abuse.  She may come across as sweet and soft spoken, but if you actually listen to her speak, their is no emotion behind her words. Everytime I hear her speak, it creeps me out.

Will today be the day she the defense gets around to talking about the brutal murder of Travis?

Travis might not have been a good "Mormon" man but that even along with his sexual preferences is not any justification for his brutal murder.

I wonder as I listen to Jodi's long winded explanations about every detail in their relationship how much of it is actually true?  She easily lies, as evidenced in her police interviews, and with Travis not available (she brutally slaughtered him) to refute her words it leaves me doubting her every word.

She blames everyone in her life for every thing that has good wrong in her life.  It's beyond time she be held accountable for her own actions and decisions.

This trial has me riveted.

I have been very interested in this case, to see just how the Defense will put on their case.   This case has nothing to do with self-defense.  It's all about just getting her off the death penalty.  The Defense is trying to just get to 1 juror, to get a mistrial.  Idk if that will happen.  There's no evidence to self-defense & she wasn't 'sexually' assaulted by Travis.  She could of said 'no' & she should of stayed away from Travis.  That's on her.

We are supposed to afford her sympathy while she rips her own family to shreds, her ex-boyfriends and eventually her victim.   And she really appears as if she is enjoying telling `her story'.

I am distrubed by Travis's behavior though.  Sending Jodi a picture of his private part.  Travis dated one Mormon woman for 1 yr.  She testified that Travis cheated on her (with Jodi) twice.  Travis, I feel was sleezy.  I don't buy it that he really wanted to be a Mormon.  Imo, it's a cover-up for those that want to act badly, then use "Church/Religion", to make it seem like they are a better person then they really are.

I do feel Jodi should spend the rest of her life in prison.  I'm just sick on how Travis has acted.  The 'sex tape' should be played next wk.  It's not the fact of having 'phone sex', to me it's just what Travis has said in it.  I feel there's 'phone sex' that between 2 consenting adults is normal, but not saying what Travis said.  To me, that was crossing the line.  Travis also had a chance to tell Jodi to stay away from him.  Yet, sex, I guess was more important.

She is obviously guilty but then again so was Casey Anthony.

Well so far she isn't earning any sympathy from me.  Did anyone else notice that when she was talking about the abuse she suffered at the hands of ex boyfriend #1 (Bobby), that she showed very little emotion if she showed any at all, but when she described her first sexual encounter with Travis, she broke down? This is just my opinion, but Jodie is really trying a bit to hard to come off as the victim in this case.  I am actually looking forward to cross examination.

Her testimony is rehearsed, IMO.  I simply hate trials that the only defense is to blame the victim.
