It's big news here in AZ, but is anyone else following?

Shot in the head, throat slit, and 29 stab wounds....a bit of overkill for self defense and this chicks story has changed 3 times. Not to mention the sex and shower photos taken of her AND him only moment before his was murdered....and pictures on his camera of his dead, bloody body....is there any way this woman in not guilty??

I'm glued to this trial....

UPDATE 2/20

I've been keeping tabs on all the comments and I have to say, as far as girls wanting the acceptance of a male figure, they do what they can to please them. That's a fact. So he could have been humiliating her sexually. No one but those two can know for sure. I know women who do what they can and aim to please an abusive man. I also know that many abusive men aren't abusinve where everyone can see, so I don't think any of us can say she's lying about that. Because we just don't know.

HOWEVER, she has had 5 years to study up on battered woman syndrom and psychology when it comes to any type of abused woman and figure out what her story will be. I can't say no he wasn't abusive, because I don't know them. I wasn't a fly on the wall when everything was going down, so unfortunately we have to (to a point) go by what she is saying. But as far as her testimony today, and watching her interviews from the past, I find the fact that it wasn't premeditated and the fact that it went down the way she claims it did, VERY hard to believe. So I believe she should get life for premeditation.

I get a woman who is so sexually or physically abused by a man she loves snapping and blacking out and killing him because, sometimes you just cannot take it anymore. BUT I just cannot bring myself to buy her story of what happened the day she killed him. The evidence strongly points at him being blitz attacked. That he didn't see it coming.

Keep weighing in ladies!

3/7/13

WOW!!! An awesome insight into what the jurors are thinking. They don't seem to be buying her "I don't remember" bs about killing Travis. They also seem to be leaning more towards it looking like premeditation. They asked pretty good questions IMO.

What do you think about the jury questions??

3/25

IMO this "expert" has crippled the defense instead of helping them. I'm almost wondering why the state doesn't rest now lol. Why is the defense keeping this man on the stand. He's suppose to be back up there but this go round is with Juan Martinez (who i love by the way he's like a little chihuahua nipping at your ankles lol). After this, I almost see no win for the defense. ALSO: new evidence about Jodi being the original companion for Travis' Cancun vacay, then bumped for another woman....slam dunk motive. Do you agree or disagree?

5/3

Wow....I can't believe its almost over. What did you tihnk about Nurmi and Martinez' closing arguments? What are your verdict predictions?? Remember...people were so sure OJ and Casey Anthony would be found guilty.....My prediction is the state will get what they want with 1st degree murder.

Let us all hope that justice is done for Travis and his family whatever the outcome!

5/8

In case you haven't heard GUILTY 1ST DEGREE FELONY AND PREMEDITATED MURDER.....will she get death or just life in prison?

Justice for Travis and his family has been done. RIP TRAVIS ALEXANDER

Oh yeah, she sure did! Remember, when Martinez ask her about while interviewing Jodi those 44 hrs., was her assessment/conclusion was that she thought Jodi was truthful to her. Yes or No. Should be a easy question right..umm not for this DV expert. One would think if you took this case, & became a witness for the Defense, then you would say 'yes' I believe she was truthful to me. But, no she never hardly gives a 'yes' or 'no'. She said I believe, that Jodi was 'credible'. Well, then wouldn't that mean the DV expert would say 'yes' then? Isn't credible the same thing as truthful. The fact this DV expert couldn't say yes speaks volumns. I think she blew it big time on this one! Actually, big time on almost everything she said. Clearly she was bias. Clearly she said she didn't consider the texts messeges that Travis sent to this girl/friend, say how he's EXTREMELY afraid of Jodi, the stalker. That she didn't consider Jodi a stalker. True Travis didn't report her & even continued having sex with her (why I have no idea), but it still is stalking by Jodi.

Looks like the jury isn't buying what the DV expert is selling. Is it just me or does that woman seem to have problems understanding how to answer simple yes or no questions?  I mean come on. Everytime Martinez asked a question that required a  simple yes or no, the DV expert started going into a long, drawn out explantion or just completely avoided the question all together.  What really make me question her credetials was when Martinez compaired the so called abuse Jodi suffered to what Travis went through when he was being murdered and basically asked if she thought that what Travis went through was worse than what Jodi went through. I can't belive that this person, who is supposed to be a non biased professional actual smiled at the defendent and then smuggly answered "No".    Another point I want to bring up. Is it just me or does it seem that Jodi has both her defense attornys and both so called Experts for the defense wrapped around her finger?  The PTSD expert admitted to sending Jodi gifts in jail, and also came of as being biased against Travis, and this DV expert sits on the stand, smiles at the defendant repetedly, and then gets combative with Martinez whenever he asks a question that favors the real victim in this case.  I also noticed that Jodi's female attorny, at times acts more like a friend or even an older sister to the defendant than a lawyer. The camera is always catching glimps of them whispering back and forth to eachother, and laughing and smiling. Meanwhile her other attorney looks like he can't wait for this trial to be over. I honestly don't think he even wants to be there anymore, and he sits so far away from the other attorny  and the defended that it appears that he is no longer part of the legal team. I can't say I don't blame him for wanting out.

Anyone what to take a guess as to why the juged demanded that the DV expert return to court either Monday or Tuesday?  I thought that she was done testifying.  My guess, is that the judge heard something in the testimony that she wants clarified, or the court found out something about this witness (ethics violations, lying about credentials etc), and she plans to question her about it in chambers. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Yes, it's unbelievable how Jodi seems to get people wrapped around her fingers. What is it about Jodi that has people liking her? Especially, men! But, it now appears she's has 'women' also liking her lol. She has this woman friend (her name is Donovan?), that she's known for 6 yrs. This woman, Donovan, speaks to Jodi almost every night on the phone. This woman set up a twitter acct. for Jodi & each night Jodi tells her what to twitter. There was 2 that I know of. Once, they caught a glimpse of Jodi during the trial, what appears to be giving the finger. She was rubbing her chin or something, but then also stuck her middle finger out. Then, on a twitter for Nancy Grace on HLN, Jodi said "this finger is for you". Wow! Then, another one was for Martinez. Basically, making fun of him because he's a short man. How Jodi can get these people to like her, after what she did, I have NO idea!!

I know that was really wierd the exchange between the judge & this DV woman. The judge said since this DV woman couldn't come on Mon., that she is to come on Tues. Then the DV woman was saying something about that as well. But, the judge just said she doesn't care about her (DV woman) personal issues. The DV woman is done with her testimony. So, I'm wondering what it is as well. Seems, the judge didn't sound very happy with the DV expert. So, I'm thinking it's something that could be serious. I know one thing I found out was that this DV expert went up to Travis's family & started talking to them. That's a no-no in a court session. So, perhaps that's what it is. Or it can be that she testified to something that she had no experience in saying. There is a petition out & I signed it. It's online. It basically is preventing this DV expert to ever be a witness in a case again or be a DV speaker. Which I agree, she should be prohibited from doing this. Also, there's a lot of people that want to see her get fired. So, to me, I don't understand why this woman would state her reputation on a case like this. Is it the money & fame? Or does she honestly believe Jodi was in a domestic violent relationship? Even though she knew Jodi lies. Even though this DV expert NEVER spoke to anyone, except Jodi.

I agree. If I ever need counseling for DV, I wouldn't want this woman.  I after this case, I doubt very many people will trust her ever again.

I think this DV expert was the Defense's last hope. But, it failed miserably. Did you hear Martinez question her about 'lies'. She said that Travis had a 'pattern' of lying. Yet Jodi didn't. She said that Travis lied to his friends about being a virgin. Yet, all of Jodi's lies didn't qualify her as a liar. She said there's some people that just tells 'white lies'. I guess she doesn't consider them as lies. I like how Martinez got her to admit that she didn't see any other evidence in DV by Travis, other then what Jodi. When ask if she felt Jodi was telling the truth. She couldn't answer, except to say her story was credible. ?? If she thought Jodi's story was 'credible', then why couldn't she answer yes???

That is what I would like to know.  I don't understand how anyone with a half a brain couldn't answer a simple yes or no question.  I am hoping that this week is the last we see of this woman.  It is time to get on with the trial. I am really starting to get sick of day after day of the defense bringing up those damn phone sex tapes. We get the picture. Jodi and Travis had a relationship based on sex. As for the text messages, I find it really hard to believe that the negative comments were really all onsided.  I am wondering if a few messages from Jodi to Travis were taken out in order to make it look like Travis was some kind of verbally abusive monster.  I wouldn't be surprised if we find out later on after the trial is over that Jodi was just as abusive to Travis as he is made out to be here.  I really feel for Travis's brother and sisters. They have to sit in that court room day after day listening as Jodi's lawyers drag their brother's name through the mud knowing that their is nothing they can do about it.  I think that is why Martinez is starting to act out the way he is.  Travis is no longer here to defend himself, and Martinez is speaking for him.  I loved how he turned the tables on Jodi and the so called defense experts.  I have heard some people say that Martinez is a bully who has gone to far, but I say that he is doing a great job with getting justice for Travis and his family. I think it is disgusting how the defense is trying to take over the trial and make it look like Jodi is the victim instead of the other way around.
