I knew that, too. I have mine masked with scotch tape when not in use.

I admit I leave my laptop on a lot and dont always use virus protection but I dont have a camera on my laptop, its a few yrs old.

Yeah, even on this mac, I don't open emails that look like spam etc.

My laptop is on all day if I am home and on cm. I leave it open so it wont sleep and make me wait for it to boot when I come back to it because I am up and down a lot.

I keep tape over mine too and have for a few years now....and I am not a paranoid person.
Remember that high school that tried to punish a student for something they saw him doing at home through his school issued laptop that broke school rules?
That was my wake up call.

I use a mac. It is issued through my employer who houses a kick ass tech team that only uses macs...They all keep sticky notes over the webcams, so I do too.
