you saw in theater?
I wanted to see that until i found out it's supposed to be super religious and that just ruined it for me :(
Is it as religious as i hear?
Quoting Goodwoman614:I saw The Hobbit 3-D & it was ok,
but the one I saw before that was The Life of Pi
Saw that in 3-D as well...fantastic cinematography. But the 3-D version was responsible for me uncontrollably, loudly bursting out an "ohhhh shhhiiiittt!!" at one point in the movie.
Highly recommend The Life of Pi for older kids & up.
Before that, I don't remember.

If I can just keep from singing along...
Quoting Mommy_of_Riley:
Wasn't it great!?!?
Quoting canadianmom1974:
Les Mis. Loved it!!!!
Really? The review i read of it said it was all about his becoming more connected with God and learning to love God more. At that point i said "no thanks" LOL. I'm not anti-religion but don't want to sit through a movie about it, you know. I'll have to check it out on dvd when it comes out.
Quoting Proud2BWeird:
It wasn't religious at all!

See, that's one of the elements that made this IMO such a great film. One thing to note is there is no preachy-ness or favoring of any one belief system. Dd & I actually got into a quite a lengthy discussion about this topic afterward.
I don't want to ruin it for you if you go see it, so all I will say is that this theme is very much up to interpretation, and part of the message - especially evident at the end - & in case you don't know I am atheist.
Lincoln. It was awesome! Even though I knew how it was going to end
