Incompetent doctors could have permanently injured my mom!!!!! VENT
Freaking INCREDIBLE!!!! My mother has been treated like a drug seeking junkie and told all she had was a lower lumbar strain since APRIL! Well geniuses it wasn't " lower lumbar strain" it WAS a fractured lower spine. Your lack of follow up and professionalism it is possible all this time that she has had a spinal infection so when she fell again it cause an extremely odd and compounded the fracture. Thanks to constant notes saying it was no more than sprain her work thinks she is playing around and missing days. You should be sued! All this time she has had shattered bones floating around in her spine one wrong move she would have been paralyzed. We took her into a specialist recommended after the 1 visit from her new primary recommended a MRI to get to the bottom of it. The new doc office got Tricare to approve things quickly. She went to her first visit to the spine specialist and they sent her straight to the surgical hospital on complete bed rest NO getting up or moving. She felt bad enough without being made to feel like a drug seeking junkie. If the same complaints come in time after time use that degree for something other than hold on your hat and DO YOUR JOB look into other causes your useless jerks!
If the jerk hadn't have retired I would be filing serious complaints! Sorry folks had to vent!

ya she has tricare prime but it is still a bitch
Quoting Mommy_of_Riley:
Being "assertive" when you have Tricare is rather hard...
Quoting PinkButterfly66:She should have gone to a specialist long before now and insisted for an MRI. She needs to be more assertive in seeking health care. If she isn't happy with what one doctor is telling her, get another opinion. Keep getting opinions until you get to the bottom of the issue.
As for lawsuit, yes.. find a lawyer. The very first doctor should have ordered an MRI when the "muscle strain" didn't get better.

:-)
I'm so glad you found a GOOD doctor who will take Tricare and fix the issues!
Quoting glitterteaz:since it is Tricare she thinks she just doesn't have a choice

Yep. I can take two of those also
Quoting glitterteaz:i think she needs oxydose
Quoting fnpdocgrrl:^^
Yep. I take two 500s when the pain is at its worst....and even go far as chasing it with a beer or two. That's how bad it can get.

And Just WHERE have YOU been, young lady?!
I've been around a little more now that the website seems to be working better and faster :)
I miss CM, but frankly got sick of the way threads were constantly derailed into stupid fests of chick bullshit lol.
It seems to be a little better on here lately, though

Perhaps. ;)
Pop into The Doghouse and say hello. Update me on life.
Oh i get crazy with doctors when they try to blow of my complaints of pain or other medical concerns. I've had so many doctors misdiagnose me over the years just to get me out of their office or ER without actually having to find out whats wrong, it's just disgusting. I had a doc try to insist i had pulled a back muscle only to find out it was a collapsed lung and got down to 25% bloodcount and almost died when hemorraging once when a doc insisted i was "just losing a LITTLE bit of blood and that's normal" and should go home until i finished my miscarriage.
I rarely trust a doc opinion now unless i make sure they run full testing first and get back all results, they can go ahead and hate me for it but i've learned that if i do any less they treat me like a brainless child and try to send me on my way untreated.
