Bill Cosby- do you agree with him? EDITED

 Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby "I'm 83 and Tired"

I'm 83. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National
Service, I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for ...some some serious
health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly
40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my
income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as
though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who
don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take
the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy
to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I
can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and
daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight
offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't
"believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning
teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the
genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and
Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let
Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques
and Madrasa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia , New Zealand ,
UK, America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to
fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other
Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global
warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help
support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ
rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses
or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all
parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful
mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting
caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and
actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination
or big-whatever for their problems.

I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and
early 20's be-deck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making
themselves unemployable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I'm not
going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for
my granddaughter and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not
on the way in.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us
sends it on!

This is your chance to make a difference.

I would say he should change his name to clarence Thomas. Burr since he didn't say it, it does sound like someone who refuses to believe that they ever received any help from anyone and resent being asked to help others for any reason.
Like Thomas who was given opportunities that could have never been afforded him so he decides that no one else needs it anymore and slams the door behind him. I hate people like that

Glad he didn't say that cause it was pretty disgusting.

Ladies, its not from Bill Cosby. Several of us have mentioned it.

Plus I did edit the post to let everyone know he didn't say any of this but was still interested in discussing what was said in the OP...

I think who ever wrote it is getting old, and it's typical to grouse about things in this way when older.   When my dad turned sixty I thought about changing his name to The World is Going to Hell in a Basket.

The implication that only Christianity teaches peace and tolerance is absurd.   So is the idea that all Muslims are violent and up to no good just because there are a lot of idiots in the news that claim they're doing what they're doing in the name of Islam.   So is the idea that a germ causes addiction, that to be a 'disease' it has to be caused by a microbe - the term 'disease' means literally, 'lack of health'.   And the most successful treatment still appears to be AA, which is an organization that charges no dues and consists almost entirely of volunteers, which the author is NOT paying for, though nothing is effective for ALL addicts.

And oh yeah, the people who b*** the most about taxes are the ones facing a fixed income, and paying a LOT less taxes than I do!   The second my dad retired he was bitching to high hell about taxes.   He had a gigantic pension that included a very, VERY generous health insurance, social security, a house that was paid for and about 4 million in very smartly invested stocks and bonds.   Despite all his resources, he completely neglected his health and caused a tragic accident in doing so.

The REASON there is Obama care is so many people who could very well afford health insurance, refused to get it so they had more money for discretionary spending, and relied on the system to pay for things they should have been paying for themselves (like the rest of us) for many, many decades.   Obama care is here because of the abuse of the prior system by people who could AFFORD health care.

Whine, whine whine.   Nobody whines about taxes like the very comfortably endowed, LOL!!!!

The place where I knew it wasn't Cosby was where he said he had a decent but modest income.  LOL!   The real Bill Cosby is filthy rich to the tune of about 450 million dollars, and the only thing he is desperate about is desperately looking for tax shelters.   The day that guy actually complains about HIS hard life is the day I go upside of his head.

I'm tired of reading stupid rants about how crappy someone who has never been outside of the US believes life in the US is.

Ugh. I feel like my MIL has an account on CM! She believes anything she reads on the Internet. The more racist or extreme right it is, the better. Then sends it out like she's educating people.

oops I just noticed that. I'll read it all again . But,in a way,it sounds like good advice...?Or just a lot of harsh venting? I better read it all again.

Okay, yeah, the guy is a bigot .

This "rant"is nothing like a totally different "Bill Cosby rant" that was sent out years ago in e-mails supposedly by Bill Cosby. The one I read years ago was advice to black kids and it was pretty good. THIS one is awful.

Who can I punch in the face for having wasted 3 minutes? Regardless of whether or not Bill Cosby stated this (and it's real sad to snicker at Snopes and not bother to do your own research to know this is crappy propoganda) - we should NOT be debating this. We should however as intelligent women be demanding that we elevate our way of thinking. This type of rhetoric is dangerous. It's not routed in any real truth. It relies heavily on realizations. I mean look at the last line - " I'm 83 and I'm tired. If you don't agree you are part of the problem!" Sooo, I'm part of the problem. GTFOH.
