Until the law is declared unconstitutional... the law stands and they need to enforce the law... if they do not, then they should lose their job.

No one is trying to take anyone's right to bear arms. If these guys had half a brain they would know that.

The supreme court has upheld four times that protecting the people is NOT the job of the police so these sheriffs want people able to protect themselves. Thier state also has the right to deny these laws and they will be doing what their state and thier citizens(whose taxes pay them NOT the federal govt) see as the right thing. The federal govt. no longer cares what the people want and they no longer serve the people. If state and local officals don't stand up to them that isn't going to change!

There are educated people all over this country who have actually READ the bills that are peoposed and they believe there is a credible threat to the 2nd amendment. I have read the bills myself and it is EASY to see. When you have actually read these bills then your statement will be taken into consideration. Until then you don't get to say others don't have a brain.

Their job is to enforce the law as it stands... if they can't do that, then they shouldn't have a job... period

One of their jobs is to protect the 2nd Amendment.   I am glad they have decided to take it seriously.

Then these people are misinformed.  Washington DC had a very, very, strict gun control law because there were a lot of murders involving guns. However, the law as knocked down as unconstitiutional by the Supreme Court because it was too severe, too restrictive and violated the 2nd amendment.  The only guns that are in danger of being outlawed are the same guns that were outlawed before Bush came into office,  the semi-automatic guns.  You can still have your revolvers and shotguns to kill each other.
