We did not approach the protection of marriage as many others have done in the past, but with a humorous and more satirical point of view. We had almost 6400 fans, we kept our posts as clean and fun as possible, and we were shut DOWN. How's that for First Amendment rights? Someone remind me again about equality. Being a heterosexual is now considered "in violation of policy," apparently.Heterosexual Awareness is about more than just being aware that we are straight. We are one of the only groups who no longer have a respected voice in this modern world.
Speaking up for traditional heterosexual values or lifestyle we have been mocked, ridiculed and called things like bigot... for nothing more than being part of a majority and having an opinion;
You might not have felt this form of discrimination yourself but many many heterosexuals have and from all walks of life. Everyday we get messages that thank us for having the courage to speak up.Noted days within the month:
July 6th Straight Pride Day – participants are encouraged to wear black to show support for heterosexuality
July 22th International Day Against Heterophobia – a day set aside to bring awarenesss to the little known
but serious issue of heterophobia - Flagship event Pancakes for Pride where
supporters and advocates are asked to eat, host or attend a pancake breakfast
across the globe
Awareness Goals
- Give a respected political voice to heterosexuals
- Protect marriage
- Stop heterophobic discrimination

WHy do they need it... There is no person on this plaent saying their love is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a tattooed,pagan,pro-choice,pro-legalizing marijuana,pro-gay marriage,anti-war,non-vaxing,tree hugging,animal loving,book reading,animal testing free,depression battling, trying to raise a free spirit and letting her be who she is but still teaching her important life lessons,fighting for equal rights at the same time,don't like it get over it.
