Here at Mandatory, our goal is to help out our fellow men. And all men need to have a wide and diverse knowledge of the world in order to impress people and possibly pick up attractive women. From the early 1940s to the middle 1970s in New York and other major cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, pinball was banned. Bans were imposed for three main reasons: it was considered a form of gambling, lawmakers believed it was mafia-run, and it was robbing the youth of time and money (Popular Mechanics).
