Impersonating Classmate Just in case you thought that cyber-impersonation was just for adults, even kids are getting in on the act. In 2012, two middle school girls from Granbury, Texas—ages 12 and 13—were charged with the third-degree felony of online impersonation for creating an imitation Facebook profile for an 11-year-old fellow student and using it to pick fights with other students in the hope of getting the younger girl beaten up. When the victim's parents found out, the school managed to trace the fake profile back to its creators, and the two instigators had felony counts against them.
