Contrived controversy over Google Doodle

I cannot believe people are getting worked up over this.  The last time I checked, someone not celebrating Easter in no way hurts someone who does.

WASHINGTON - Google spurred controversy on Easter Sunday over its choice of doodle themes.

Visitors to the company's search engine website will see a portrait of the late labor organizer Cesar Chavez in place of the second 'o' in Google. It is to celebrate his birthday.

Some people on social media are arguing that Google should be celebrating Easter instead, like its competitor Bing, which has an image of brightly colored Easter eggs on its homepage today.

If Google did go with an Easter theme there would be controversy over how they chose to depict it.

I guess some people have nothing better to do than fret about a pointless Google Doodle post.

It doesn't necessarily say the Christian version of Easter though

And if they'd had an Easter Egg, then there would be Christian groups complaining about the lack of Jesus or a cross.

But, it did give them a reason to complain about "The War on Easter" to keep busy before the "War On Christmas" season.

Wow my husband totally called this controversy this morning.  I agree, it's ridiculous.  Not everyone celebrates Easter, who gives a crap???

I can't even see it. I don't know what's with my settings in Chrome, but even when I try to get to google.com it goes to google.ca...

Someone posted it to FB.

Big deal: google's not a Christian.

Oh. Isn't that a big deal?

It cracks me up how there are actually people who cannot fathom the fact that MANY PEOPLE aren't Christian.
