The injury in the Duke - Louisville game? We were all crying. Everybody at the game was crying. The players and the coaches were crying. I've never seen anything like that before.

They've been replaying it on EPSN all night long

Quoting LauraKW:

I doubt it will be shown on tv again. It shouldn't be shown on tv.

Quoting ashellbell:

Where's a video of it?

Quoting NWP:

OMG DH just showed me.

His teammates response was horrible to watch. They knew he was hurt but when they looked you see it register on all of their faces and a few jump back and grab their teammates and some cry an look sick... :-/

I wondered if there wasn't some sort of underlying issue, bones don't just break like that. It was pretty horrifying to see, hopefully all goes well for him.

Quoting carlyshort:

..or that.

Bones do not break like that under normal conditions from a jump. Unless he had a injury that he failed to disclose before playing there is something wrong with him. He is in my prayers.

Quoting LauraKW:I was wondering if he had some sort of brittle bone issue.

Quoting carlyshort:It didn't gross me out at all.

The only time I've ever seen a bad break like that from basically not doing anything, the person had advanced bone cancer and didn't know and lord I hope that isn't the case.

We saw the luge guy get killed at the Vancouver Olympics. That's going to be to worst in my experience for a long time to come...

Quoting LauraKW:

Worst broken leg I have ever seen in basketball. Worst injury I have ever seen in any sport. The guy will be lucky if he walks again.

Quoting momtimesx4:

My daughter and I just went to youtube.  We should not have done that.

I slammed my lap top shut and jumped up, instant tears.  My daughter dove in the couch, buring her head in the blanket.

Why the hell did we look.

Dear God, I hope that young man is okay.  I pray he will be able to walk.

this made me and DH laugh lmao ewww

Quoting LindaClement:

Barf.

My kids were on the field when a guy broke his femur in rugby... they said they could hear it clear across the pitch. Gag. One of the other players actually barfed, it was so gross.

Quoting LauraKW:

Guy broke his leg in multiple places right on the court. I can't even put into words how horrible it was.

Quoting ashellbell:

Oh no what happened?

Showing the actual break? Mike and Mike just talked about how they won't show it. Everybody is showing the aftermath.
