This isn't really a hot topic, or current event, but after the week I've had, I need some warm fuzzies.

Ladies, what is your dream pet?

I have three:

These are American Bison.  I love them. I want one as a pet, but I haver read they can jump ten feet fences with a flat-footed leap.  They are fierce competitors, and lovely in an Ice Age kind of way.

My next is:

This is a velociraptor.  It, sadly is extinct, but if I could have a pet that was certain to eat me if I made a wrong move, this would be it.  They were supposedly intelligent, pack animals.

My last is:

This is Alexander Skarsgard.  For obvious reason, I want him to be my pet.  He is a desendant of Vikings and I would most certainly pet him if he lived with me.

Please add photos of pets you would like to have.  I need some soft fuzzies.

I would fight you for your last choice.  Beyond that, I don't have any dream pets.  :)

I always wanted to own something like a snake, lizard, or turtle, but they kinda freak me out so I don't think I'm getting one anytime soon.

But, to be honest, I really do want a bison.  Really.  I think they are just amazing.

Ooh, yeah, Skarsgard in Generation Kill was... yummy.

If you start out with something small and slow, like a garter snake, you might be able to handle them.  They eat fish, so you wouldn't even have to watch them kill a bunny or something cute.  You'd just go buy some fifteen cent feeder fish and let the garter snake eat them as needed.  Turtles are really nice too.  They are slow, and depending on the type, pretty hardy.  I actully love turtles and spend my springs and autumns moving turtles across busy streets.  I just can't stand to see them squished.

I think you would do well with my last dream pet.  Bath time would be fun.

So do cattle. We raised them for food, along with goats and pigs,  when I was a kid.  That whole scent factor doesn't really bother me at all.

My dad tried raising bison, they are a huge pain in the ass, after a year he went back to cattle.

There are a few pets along the line if your last one, but as for realistic pets, I'm a dog or cat person and we have one of each so I'm good.
