I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't,

Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.

Dear, I don't live in an isolated community. I grew up in the ghetto with a graduating class that has made more of themselves than expected. I don't care if the engineer that is designing the high rise in NY is a poet laurete. Sorry but I want a lawyer that knows the law in and out, not one who speaks the King's English.

Quoting talia-mom:

if you think that doesn't have a huge impact, you live in a tiny, isolated community.

Do you think we will have a President any time soon that speaks that kind of language?

You can hire a lawyer that uses that all you want.  I am not.  I prefer to win my case.

Quoting Thomigirl:

Truth? Please. This old ass fool is the biggest hypocrite. Why are we giving more credence to what he's saying than my drunk Uncle Leroy?

This POS has the audacity to state this "We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.."  Oh...like him? Are we supposed to get what he is truly like in HIS real life? Not the pudding pop eating NBC favorite father figure. PLEASE.

I can go on and on about the inaccuracies of his rant.

"Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth."

Really? So the method of speech correlates to the type of job you ultimately will get? H'e been too far removed from anything that resembles urban life to the point where he's just regurgitating bullshit.

Uh, YES!!!!   What do you think a job interviewer would think of someone speaking this way?

I know you didn't do it intentionally, but I'm LOL at the misspellings, LOL. Anywho, as I said, speaking from experience, speech does not = intelligence.

Quoting paknari:

Although some of this speech is untrue can you honestly tell me that someone who speaks like he did in the begining of his speech will be considered for anything other than a crao job? As an employer I wouldn't hire anyone of any color that spike like that. They sound uneducated and stupid. To come into an interview or any professional environment speaking like that shows very little education or concern for the position you are applying for.

It's a shame that men and women in the sixties got killed and beaten to give this generation a better lifestyle and yet so many choose to squander the chance.

Well, if he does, then this will be like a slap in the face of all the people he tries to help, right? I mean, James Brown did a lot for the community here in the GA/SC, and never did I hear him put down the people he was trying to help, before he passed away. The same can be said for many celebrities who reach out to their communities, but not Bill Cosby. Lets face it, he is a retired commedian who wants his name back in the spot light, and I think that it is a shame that he has to do it this way. edited to change CRS to GA/SC for those who probably don't know what I meant.
Quoting talia-mom:

actually, he does a lot.

Quoting gludwig2000:

Mr. Cosby, is of course, entitled to his opinion. But that doesn't mean that I have to agree with it, and if he were truly interested in reaching out and helping black people, maybe instead of bitching about things, he should try to do something. He is an entertainer, and this is his way of keeping his name in public, so why should he care who he throws under the bus. As far as I am concern, he is just spouting off when he believes white people want to here, so they can put some money in his pocket. The only color he cares about, imo, is green.

Except the lawyer that speaks the King's English and knows the law is always going to be seen by the jury as the better one.

It is the reality of this country.   Poor grammar and language skills makes you appear low class, uneducated, and not worth the time professionally.

A person would never get into law school unless they knew how to speak and write proper English.

And for all of you out here that think he is doing this to "try to help" tell me this, when your child speaks improperly, do you correct them or belittle them, because this was his attemp to belittle.

Jeez, you REALLY need to read more about the correlation between dialect and intelligence. REALLY.
