This is really cool! I'd love to find out my ancestry, considering I don't even know my bio father..

 I have been doing genealogy. My mom has refused to believe that her gr grandfather was half Cherokee. No matter we have a pic of him and it is quite obvious. I decided I want to do an DNA to show her..she'll probably still deny tho'...sigh

I have been takings about doing this for quiet some time. I may just have to go ahead and do it. How long did it take to get the results back?

i want to do this because we don't know much about my moms side. we're black but i'm really light skinned so when i tell people i'm black they're like ok yea and what else...and i have to go into the long story how i don't really know because my bio great grandmother was unwed and died during child birth with my grandmother so she was adopted.

where do you get it? do you have to order the kit online?

I had my granddad tested to b/c his grandmother is suppose to be part Cherokee. I wasn't sure if any Native American would come back in me which it .2% but his should be able to tell a much better story. I'll have to wait another week or two for his results.
