Alice Klee, a 68-year-old hoarder, was recently found partially mummified in her cluttered home in New Milford, New Jersey.

Amazingly, it took two months to find Klee's body underneath the cat urine, feces and garbage in her apartment, reports CBS New Jersey.

Klee had not been seen by her neighbors since February. Police went to her home, but never found her. A missing persons report was filed when she didn't pay rent.

It wasn't until Klee's landlord was cleaning all the junk out of her apartment when he found her grisly remains. According to police, she died of cardiac arrest.

"Hoarding is an obsessive-compulsive disorder," said Dr. Robert Kornhaber told CBS New Jersey on Wednesday. "Checking on them will not change anything. Hoarders are very resistant to simply advice or recommendation."

According to the A&E reality TV show 'Hoarders,' about 3 million Americans, one percent of the U.S. population, suffer from some kind of hoarding disorder.

A 'Hoarders' producer said the show pays for the clean-up if the hoarder allows it, according to Xfinity.comcast.net.

That's just sad. What's worse, that town is not too far from me........Why in the world did it take 2 months to "find" this woman? Didn';t anyone consider looking for her at home first? Had she no children, family, freinds, etc....?
