If you were in a public place .........

Would you feel comfortable with this man being ten feet away from you and your family? If not, what would you do?

Would you call the police?

....I am only responsible for what I say,NOT for what you understand.....

no and I would leave.

His right to carry supercedes my right to feel safe apparently

Yes, that's absolutely correct.  Rights supercede feelings every time.

thanks... sooo.. I don't have a right to feel safe? awesome..

Where I live? I would get the hell out of there. Maybe in another area it is normal to see. Not where I live unless you are a criminal.

I carry too and open carry is legal here in OK so he would be totally legal. Honestly it makes me feel safer that so many civilians carry around here.

You have a right to feel whatever you want to until those feelings infringe on another's tangible right to bear arms.  Then you can leave.

I would be very uncomfortable. I would probably make a joke to DH about "compensating" and leave.

It wouldn't bother me at all. My DH is in law enforcement and rarely leaves the house without at least one gun on his person.

I find this post intriguing because we are using this picture and intuition to make our judgment calls. The man looks relaxed and minding his own business. If the picture was different, we might be coming to completely different conclusions on our feelings of safety.
