Utah is the worst state when it comes to fathers rights.

My brother just got back from court, his ex is trying to get her new husband to adopt my brothers son.  The judge told him with they lawyer she has and the fact that he doesn't have one he will probably lose. :(  Atleast the judge gave him an extenison so he can try to get a lawyer.

Why doesn't he already have a lawyer?  On what grounds would he lose?

after hearing about that horrible case where the family essentially stole that man's child I think the last place I would want to get a divorce if I was a man would be Utah.

He doesn't have the money for one.  I'm not sure this what he told me and my mom.

1 mom liked this

This post doesn't make any sense. All states have very specific laws about parental terminations. Utahs laws are basically no contact, no child support, etc for more than 6 months. Is there a reason your brother has not contacted, seen, or paid child support for 6 months?

it only took 2 years.  They never should have been able to have the child in the first place.  The woman went there in the first place because of the laws being very anti father's rights.

That's what I thought too, maybe he's not telling us everything?  This is the second time she's tried to have his rights taken away.

If you knew they did why did you ask it as a question then?
