Beans and no noodles.

Come to think of it, I have never heard of noodles being put into chili.

What the fuck?   Noodles?   Who puts noodles in chili?

meat, chili powder, onions, garlic, other spices, beer and water

That is all you need.

I am a Texan, home of chili (I guess) and it is like a mortal sin to put noodles in it.  With that said, we grew up putting mac noodles in it and beans.  LOL  I don't think by most Texan's standards that would be called chili but more like goulash or chili mac.

Sounds like my Dad's recipe.  Coffee is good with it too.

Noodles? I've never had nor made chili with noodles or for that matter, put it over rice, either.

We have beans in our chili that we make and use either ground beef or (for example) stewing beef or portions from a roast beef.

We always have homemade cornbread with it.

Yum!  Stewing beef and cornbread sound amazing in chili.  I like to use beer bread.

We put it over egg noodles or rice.

I use ground beef and not stewing beef, tomatoes, chili powder, sometimes beer and sometimes not, kidney and pink beans, cook that down after the ground beef has been browned and drained, and put it over rice or egg noodles with sharp cheddar on top.  Hubby also puts chopped onions and sometimes we put sour cream.

That sounds good.  It kind of reminds me of the Chili 5-way at Steak and Shake.
