Just curious what its like to have an epidural. I've had two births and both were natural water births.
What was your experience?

My drugs were awesome.  I am not sure I felt anything at any time.

4 csections....all medically necessary. I can't imagine anything else. Honestly didn't consider I would have to have a csection until about a week before my first child was born. Natural child birth sounds wonderful...but looks scary. I don't think I would be strong enough.

I never felt anything each time (it was 3).

But that is me.   They had to tell me when to push because I didn't know i was having contractions.

My first two were drug free...due only to the fact that my labors were hard and fast.

My third I managed to get there in time for an epidural...and oh how lovely it was. I was glad to have it with my fourth, too. Of course, they only worked until the baby started dropping and then there was no amount of drugs that could stop that pain.

I had 1 all natural at 29 weeks. I had 1 child at 38 weeks I got the epi and my blood pressure tanked so low I passed out when I woke up my baby was born via emergency c section! I would never get an epi ever again.

Wow. And all you had was an epidural?
