This year's Kids Count report is out, ranking states on overall children's well-being using 16 indicators organized into four categories: economic well-being, education, health, and family and community. Here are the 25 best states for children's well-being in 2013:

 My state is in the top 5- that's pretty neat!

Quite frankly- I was a little surprised. I didn;t think it would even make the list-much less a top 5!?

Although I was aware that our education system is a draw for many families with special needs children.

NJ is number 5, I'm not surprised at all.  4 out of top 5 in the North East ... again, no surprise there.

Yes, Massachusetts ranked #3. We're pretty much the best at everything lol.

I currently live in Texas.. we will be moving to Maine once the husband person gets out of the military

lol, yeah. I am from Massachusetts though. :3 up until November of last year, I lived in Hawaii.
