"It's too gay!" **EDIT** with a pic of the offending vest

....said a Mom when she returned a weighted vest she had ordered for her son.

I got the vest back in the mail today with a request for a refund.  The reason for the return.."it's too gay."  I didn't realize red and yellow were gay.  The vest is quite cute..it has monster trucks in the front, the back is red and the inside is yellow.  It was made for an autistic child.  It has been my experience they prefer bright colors.

I will give the refund, but I am asking you guys...did I make a boo boo here are is she a little odd?

2013-06-30 15.23.57.jpg   I would like to add, that she ORDERED what she is complaining about.

Sounds like the mom is the one with the problem. The vest sounds cute.

What a strange response to have towards a boy-colored vest....

That's a ridiculous excuse to use, but without seeing the vest itself I can't say if it's cute or not.

I learned I have to find snow boots for my son this winter.

Do you sell them?   We had no use for them in Texas, but they need them in Missouri.

That mom has her own set of "issues", the lest of which is having a child with austism. I feel sorry for her kid.

I suspect the mom herself has what used to be called Asperger's in the DSM IV & is just ASD in the DSM V. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this case.

As i work in the MH field & need weighted items for teens w/ SPD & ASD, if you pm me, i may order f/you, if you have items large enough for teens.
