Find me one masturbation post I've ever put up. And don't disappear on me, I want you to show me one.

And let me get this straight.... Someone from the present administration gets caught in such an awkward position, and you would refrain from comment? Please.

Quoting candlegal:

Let's not kid yourself.   I don't put masturbation posts in here.    I haven't and I won't.  Just because you would doesn't mean we all have your standards.

Quoting shannonnigans:

It would be just as funny/awkward etc if it were a politician, an athlete, etc. and had it been someone from the Obama admin, you'd have had it up in a nanosecond. Lets not kid ourselves.

Quoting candlegal:

Every time I think some of the people in this group can't go into the gutter any further, they prove me wrong.  They must really be threatened by the Catholic Church.

Quoting AlekD:

Ffs. Why would be masturbate in the middle of Mass with an entire church full of people looking on? It looks to me like he is tapping his hands to the music. It probably never even crossed his mind that gutter minded people with nothing better to do would insinuate that he was doing something else. Get a life. This is stupid.

I certainly wouldn't put up a youtube video showing this type of thing.  I didn't say you had, I said you would.

You are correct.

It also doesn't mean we can't make fun of stuff like this.

People really really really need to start understanding the differences in 'bashing' disagreement and being made fun of.

None of it here is persecution of Christians.

Bullshit. How do you know he wasn't moving his hands to the music. This is disgusting even for anyone on CM to do this. Shame on you.

I too am getting a little bit sick of seeing all the Catholic, Christian bashing. I tried to speak my piece yesterday and put in a good word for all the innocent well intended people of the faith who just want to worship according what they believe is right and not in support of the atrocities that allot of those higher ups who were put in power to lead the church are guilty of and I got my as handed to me on a platter. What many of the church officials have done a gotten away with doing to those children for years and years while it was covered up is wrong and all involved either in action, knowledge, or cover up should be charged and punished to fullest extent of the law. Not only did those guilty do the unthinkable but they also let down their followers world wide, good people who just want to worship, practice their faith, and what they think is right. You can't hold a whole world wide population of good people responsible for the crimes that have been committed by others. I guess I can relate to how Catholics must feel being  Muslim and pretty much being put on the spot to account for terrorism or even being accused of supporting myself. There is good and bad in all. Christianity, Catholicism, Islam, etc all have their dark sides but it does not mean that every one chooses to follow that dark side.

It quite defiantly is not persecution and I never meant to make it sound as if i though it was. Persecution of Christians is when they are executed, imprisoned, or beaten half to death for practicing and that maybe a reality in certain parts of the world but certainly not here in the U.S.A.

There is also nothing wrong with having a little humor and joking around but when ones religion or faith is the butt of the joke not all see it ass funny. Me, myself I am not that sensitive and don't get offended easily. You can joke about me or my religion all day long and I will either laugh with you or ignore you if I don't find it funny. I'm sure no harm was meant here posting this that it was just all in fun and I can see that but many might not find it so funny.

Every Priest I've known taps their hands to the beat of the music... which is exactly what this looks like.  Most Priests keep their hands under their robes during Mass.

I find is disgusting that someone would post this with such nasty accusations.  People are really just sick.

I don't think it looks like he's masturbating and it is mocking. Definitely mocking. Which is not persecution. It's pointing out the absolute idiocy of a very very very failed policy of insisting on celibacy and moral judgment on society when an institution can't even keep its own clergy from being evil and not just evil but condoned and protected evil.

So disagreement too: disagreement with an institution that is so obviously astray and harming society. I'll have to ask my friend the priest if he considers it slander. He speaks of masturbation.
He's a Jesuit though. I knows many Catholics consider that as bad as a liberal.

Quoting AlekD:

So, slandering and mocking a man for daring to move his hands under his chausible (over his pants and long cassock) ...would that be considered bashing or disagreement?

Yet you post links about an alleged statement connecting Wendy Davis stating I hope your daughter gets raped. How is that less offensive than this?

Sure they don't. I'm Christian and go to mass often. I find this amusing.

If there are any offended they can leave the thread. If this thread were to say that all Catholic priests exist to corrupt the souls of young children by sexual perversion then yes it would be wrong.

But it isn't doing that.

When these very same offended Christians are making claims that Islam is a religion of violence you better believe I call out that bullshit hatred but this isn't the same thing.
