Woman kicked out of water park for voluptuous figure

NDEPENDENCE, Mo. - An Independence woman is alleging employees kicked her out of the Adventure Oasis Water Park Tuesday because of what she was wearing and her full-figured body.

Madelyn Sheaffer went to the water park with five other people Tuesday afternoon. After Sheaffer got into the pool with her niece and nephew, she said two employees approached her and told her she had to put on shorts because her bottoms were too small. Sheaffer then asked if she could talk to their supervisor. The supervisor told her she needed to cover up or leave the park.

“I just felt like I was singled out,” Sheaffer said, “I felt like it was both age and body discrimination and I felt like I could look around me and I could see a handful of other girls half my age, wearing the same size swimming suit and not being singled out and told to put on clothes or leave.”

Sheaffer asked if the water park supervisor would call local police so she could file a complaint. Officers showed up and escorted her out. Sheaffer then filed a complaint against the water park.

The City of Independence says it’s up to the manager to decide if a person’s attire is appropriate or not and they don’t feel like they discriminated against Sheaffer.

There has to be a better picture of what she was wearing.

body discrimination is not criminal.

If they didn't think you covered up enough, it is freaking pitiful for you to call the cops.

I'd be so embarrassed! I really don't like the idea of people being kicked out for ill-fitting clothes. But, maybe the bottoms were really inappropriate.

I'd like to know what she was wearing. If it was a thong I can see them kicking her out. If they have to blur it on TV it's not ok for public.

And girls half her age were wearing the same size? We they smaller than her?

I'm  guessing the difference is that they actually fit in the suit they were wearing.

Then it should be the same for 15-16 year olds.

And?

Nothing illegal happened. They decided she had too much ass showing and wanted her to cover it.

Oh well

Cover it or don't swim.

Also I am on mobile and this sounds like a private park. Does anyone know differently?,

I just watched that video.

And I see NOTHING wrong with what she had on.

Now they didn't show the back of the suit, so if that was a thong bottom, then I agree with the park.
