Police have arrested four suspects in connection with the beating death of a former U.S. Marine who was found unconscious outside of a party at a Cobb County, Georgia, apartment complex in March.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Arthur Batchelor, 37, Tarell Secrest, 36, and Jason Hill, 35, were taken into custody on Tuesday for allegedly killing 34-year-old Zachary 'Zach' Gamble. Another suspect, 38-year-old Sean Hall, of Atlanta, was arrested on Monday.

Hall is also accused of violating his probation stemming from a DUI conviction in 2009, according to the Marietta Daily Journal.

Lynell Batchelor, 37, is accused of beating to death Iraq War veteran Zachary Gamble.
Tarell Secrest, 36, was arrested for his alleged role in the death of ex-Marine Zachary Gamble.

Jason Hill, 35, was taken into custody for allegedly participating in the fatal beating of Iraq war veteran Zach Gamble.
Sean DGene Hall, 38, was arrested on Monday and charged with killing former Marine Zachary Gamble.

All four suspects have been charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery. They are being held without bail in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police say.

On Tuesday, the victim's mother, Tina Robbins, told the Marietta Daily Journal that she was 'elated' that arrests have been made in her son's killing.

Zachary Gamble, a former U.S. Marine, served two tours of duty in Iraq between 2001 and 2005.

Gamble, of Acworth, Georgia, was attending a friend's birthday party in the Concord Chase Apartments near Smyrna on March 25 when he got into an altercation with a group of men in the parking lot, according to investigators.

Police would not explain what happened next, only saying that they received a call from a taxi driver at 6am who reported having struck Gamble.

When officers arrived on the scene, the 34-year-old man was discovered unconscious on the ground. Police, however, believe Gamble's fatal injuries did not stem from being hit by a vehicle.

Gamble was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, where he was removed off life support on April 8 without ever regaining consciousness.

While Gamble's autopsy results have not been made public, the victim's relatives have said that Gamble died from severe head trauma

Iraq War veteran Zachary Gamble is survived by his 7-year-old son, Luke..

Mike Gerhard, of the Cobb County Medical Examiner's Officer, told the Marietta Daily Journal that officials are still waiting for Gamble's toxicology screen results, which could take 60 to 90 days.

This happened just a couple of months after the Trayvon Martin shooting, how come we haven't heard about this.   This man was a war hero and did 2 stints in Iraq.

Hey, Another Non-Trayvon Story That Doesn’t Meet the Race Narrative: 4 Black Men Beat White Marine to Death

By Debbie Schlussel

Yet another murder you won’t see Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton protesting . . . or all of the major news networks and media outlets covering like it’s the story of the year.  Now, if it was the reverse and four White thugs beat to death a Black U.S. Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, this would be top o’ the news all over the place. Oh, and “conservative” race-baiter and National Review editor Rich Lowry would be outraged, the way he was for Trayvon Martin (and praised the Black Panthers and Sharpton). But when it’s four Black men beating the White U.S. Marine to death, it’s the sound of crickets chirping.

How sad that this man served his country and twice survived the infestation of Islamic terrorists, only to return home and get beaten to death by the people he served and whose freedom he protected. Disgusting.

But, again, no Treyvon Martin-esque media outrage for him.

Reader Duane:

Under any circumstances if a black marine were to be beaten to death by 4 white thugs you would have Shartpon, Jackson, NBPP, the MSM, and half a dozen Justice Department officials would be there ready to bring the racists to justice, but this will go largely ignored.

Exactly.

Say a prayer for Zach Gamble. May he rest in peace. And say a prayer for his fatherless young son and his mother, who must bury her son.

Two tours in iraq and leaves behind a family. Unbelievable, it really is. Survive Iraq to get killed by thugs.

Arrests have been made, yes? The justice system is working for those victims. Their deaths are tragic but they were not ignored by the justice system.

Perhaps you missed your calling in msm.

It's horrific and sad. I wonder what the defense will be for the men who savagely beat him. Are they claiming something ridiculous?

Arrest was made of GZ did that serve justice and mean the justice system worked?

Were those men arrested when authorities found out it was them that committed the crime?

There are horrible murders that happen every day that dont get picked up by the media. The reason TM's case became national news was because the authorities knew who killed him but were going to allow him to walk away claiming self defense.

This story is so sad though. Seeing him with his son just breaks my heart. I hope the men who killed him are put away for a long time.
