Now, you don't have to say WHERE you live, I'm just curious what it looks like where everyone is at. Also, I want to brag a little, so there.

Here's my morning photos from today's walk-

That is what it is.  Flintstone stereo.

Quoting lga1965:

I can't tell ....the photo is too dark to see the details , but it might be an old fashioned console with a stereo phonograph and radio inside? My in-laws had one. Maybe you could find one at antique stores , estate sales or yard sales ?

Quoting Carpy:

Iga, do you notice what the second TV is sitting on?  Any guess at what it is?  I am betting you had one of them back in about the 1960's.

I will just say, it was in his mothers house for years, and when she died, against my protests, he wanted it because it would be great to sit a TV on.

Quoting lga1965:

I have both those movies and LOVE them!

Quoting Carpy:

I can understand that.  They are great, how can you not love them.

Quoting Raintree:

Strangely enough, those are two of my best comfort-movies. I genuinely love them- my parents just drive through Wabasha last week:)

Quoting Carpy:

We have them both.  We both love them.  I have the first one in now.  Haven't watched them in forever.

Quoting Raintree:

Well, it's what he enjoys- so more power to him, in my opinion.

Remember- there are two if those movies- grumpy and grumpier:)

Quoting Carpy:

These are good.  Classic movies.  And my husband loves them.  Thanks.  Now I am going to have to watch that movie.  ONE of those TV's are mine to watch.

That first one reminds me of how we like to piss with him by moving the remotes.  Each remote to the satalites and TV's have specific spots.  They are all basically identical and switching them messes up his whole world.

And he actually doesn't sit in front of them all day.  He is quite active except Sundays. He golfs 18 holes a day and refuses a cart, goes to the gym etc... But when it is TV time, he has them ALL on.  If water polo was the only thing on, he would have it on.

Quoting Raintree:

I couldn't find the clip I was looking for, but here ya go!

Just watch the first minute of this one-

This one's short-

And this one just because-

Quoting Carpy:

Lol, I'll show him your post when I get home. Sadly it isn't an exaggeration. Notice the big TV on the right is in front of a beautiful fireplace.

Quoting Raintree:

Haha.. Carpy, I remember you saying something about the TV thing. At the time I thought you were exaggerating, but this is awesome. Reminds me of Walter Matthau's character in Grumpy Old Men (not an insult coming from me- it's one of my favorites). TVs everywhere!

Quoting Carpy:

Here is a lovely one depicting the insanity in my house.  There are three TV's not in view.

First photo, looking out back from the kitchen window.  Second was taken from the back porch. I'd probably see the Mt. if I cut some of those tall trees...but umm NO, not gonna happen. The last one is looking up our private road, the house is to the right. (we have 5 acres, mostly over-grown)
We live about a 45 min. drive from downtown Puyallup; about a 2 hr drive from Seattle and about 4 miles from N.W. Trek Wild Life Park.
