there seems to be no details of what exactly made the other patron feel "threatened".
if it was only one set of people complaining then my guess it that it was unjustified.  and good for the people speaking up about how they were treated.  i sure hope the company takes a stand...and that this was just one employee and not something that happens on the regular with this place.

My Filipino mom wasn't served and asked to leave at a white restaurant and we didn't go complaining to the news and she wasn't disturbing or threatening anyone, just has a white boyfriend

The manager who did this needs to be fired, not just because of the racism, but also because she threw out 25 paying customers because of the discomfort of 1! Re-seat the one, or tell her to leave. Don't jettison 25 people!

Tell the one if she feels threatened for being around non-whites, leave, go find Dr. Brown and ask to go back to 1955.

So sad, and so wrong.  The manager needs to be fired.

they didnt either.  They tried contacting the company and no reply.  He vented on his facebook and the sharing and reposting was noticed and picked up by a journalist.  It rolled from there.

Not everyone runs to the media for their 15mins of fame....sometimes the injustice of a single act can make headlines around the world.  Such is our social networking system.

really ...facebook is now a news station...really?

"complaining to the news" (your words) and venting on your facebook page is completely different.
