LOL My daughter saw this today and exclaimed this was the origin of twerking.

So what do you think?

LOL. That word "twerking" is so asinine.

The Black Bottom is ancient. 1920's. I remember my aunt talking about it. ( She was born in 1904 )

You are absolutely correct.  Isn't it funny to think about that.

My daughter and I were talking about how, many years ago, my oldest sister (she is 20 yrs older than I) was not allowed to watch Elvis on television. He was inappropriate.  Then we went on talking about the bathing suits of the 50s and 60s and how inappropriate some of them were then.  Now.......if only people wore more versus less. lol

Yes, and the short costume on the dancer was outrageous and inappropriate for a woman in the 1920's !  Shocking ! The Charleston was fun but that one dance she did was not very appealing, kind of dorky. The way she moved her arms. LOL.

I think that dance was one of the animal dances of that time. I am not sure though.
