My sh....y shingles by the seashore and what I did to get rid of this crud.
Shingles is, to be blunt.... supremely sh *&^%$ y. It's painful, ugly and persistent.
I was blown away to find out I had a mild case this summer after my daughter spotted a rash on my back while we were swimming in the Gulf at Indian Rocks Beach.
My guess is that even though I'm very active, not under extreme stress, healthy, not a senior yet (almost 48) and I never get sick, my adrenal glands are very, very tired.
I was just diagnosed with severe adrenal fatigue last week. I assumed when I learned about adrenal fatigue two years ago (I had severe insomnia) that my case was in the "mild" category. Mind over matter, my mind didn't seem to recognize that it was truly exhausted :)
Burn-out makes you vulnerable to shingles (if you had chickenpox).
I'm sharing my story because shingles was once thought to only strike the elderly or people with a compromised immune system. Not the case anymore.
This is my story and what I did to get rid of shingles. Mine is 99% gone (mild post-shingles nerve pain)
Keep your immune system strong. If you do get this crud, don't panic but act FAST. I combined an anti-viral with med with holistic healing, but the meds have a short window of opportunity.
To your health - mind and body. The two are inseparable twins.
