Hoo Boy....Home Depot's racist tweet.....

What a mess this is. Doesn't matter that they fired the company responsible for doing their tweets for them. IMO, the damage is done. You don't come back from something like this by saying "oops, sorry, we fired the person who did this."

Seems they did not do their home work when hiring this agency to do their PR for them.

I still don't get why twitter is such a powerful 'tool'.  Or why we allow it to be, I should say.

I already HATE HOME DEPOT!! I even had an I HATE HD page for awhile

They were supposed to install my floors in 2 weeks and it took about 3 months!!!

They did give us STEEP discounts AFTER I complained like a thousand times....

WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE EVER

They had no control over what someone else tweeted for crying out loud.

People just want someone to bitch at

Actually, they hired this company to tweet on their behalf. So yes, they did have control over it. They should have chosen a more reputable PR agency. If I had pulled a stunt like that with one of my clients, I'd lose business, and not just from that client.

It asked if you could spot the difference. It pictured three drummers. Two were black, and the third was an ape.
