Are there songs that make you cry every time you hear them? *fluff*

The two that come to mind for me are Harry Chapin's "Cats in the Cradle" and Tori Amos's "Seaside." I cry every time, no matter how many times I've heard them. I don't want to cry; I just can't help it. It's embarassing sometimes. Once, I was at the grocery store, and "Cats in the Cradle" came on over the speaker system, and I found myself standing in the pasta aisle with tears rolling down my cheeks and snot coming out of my nose while other customers eyed me warily. I felt like an idiot.

If you haven't heard "Seaside," it's really good. Give it a listen, but don't say I didn't warn you.

So do you have songs that make you cry every time you hear them?

Daddy's girl by Frankie J

I was obviously a daddy's girl growing up. At 12 I left my parents and moved in with my legal guardians. My parents both were into drugs and alcohol so I felt it was best to leave them. I really have spoken to my dad in years.

That f*cking Christmas song The Christmas Shoes or whatever it's called. I have to immediately turn it off, I can't handle that song.

The Hawaiian version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow gets me every time too, probably because I associate it with funerals.

You don't have to watch the whole thing but at least listen to the first few minutes. This song is incredible.

My favorite song from my favorite Opera sung by my favorite diva. :)

Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On". I weep because I can not believe it is still legal to play that song.

There are 2 songs that get me every time.. 1st is a song called"Where've you been" I believe it's by Kathy Mattea and the second is "How do I Live" by Leann Rimes. How do I live is the song my former SIL dedicated to her daughter and her daughters funeral. When she was killed in a car crash at 15, so I can't help but cry every time I hear it. The the other song the lyrics are just so moving and they really get to me.
