I'm glad you asked me to watch this.  Usually I have the computer on silent and don't watch many videos.

I WANT TO MARRY THIS MAN

SERIOUSLY

I liked it, except for the retard comment near the end.  I hate it when people use that word like that, it touches a nerve.

In the main, he is absolutely correct.

I may be repeating myself, but will do so anyway because I think it's important.

My daughter once submitted my family to be in a reality TV show (if you go to almost any network, you'll see they have links to shows they are trying to develop, she submitted one to MTV for a reality show about a "real" American family).  She did a video and explained what was interesting about us (at the time she was about to do her senior year of college so graduation was looming, both my husband and I are work at home people with our own businesses, and my youngest daughter is an aspiring musician who had lots of teenage angst stuff going on).  MTV wanted us to do the show, and my daughter was thrilled.

I said no.

This was about three years ago, and she still rags on me every single day when something funny happens around here (every day multiple funny and unusual things happen, trust me).  Anyway, the reasons that I said no were:

They can edit you however they want, make you a villian, make you look crazy, make you look mean

They are allowed to edit you in a fake manner, you don't have to be any of those things for them to decide to portray you that way for the good of the show

It's not about showing reality it's about them having an engaging show

You lose all rights to your own identity, you're whoever they want to make you

I wasn't willing to do that to my kids, not for money, not for anything.

So I know that most reality shows are faked, sometimes in little ways, sometimes in huge ways.

But seeing the photos in this video....oh my did I laugh my ass off!
