Which one?

Quoting dawnnamarie: I want her abs.

I will not have a temper tantrum nor stomp across the floor.

I will not pout, scream or shout or kick against the door.

I will not throw my food around nor pick upon another.

I’ll always try to be real good because I am the mother.

I am the mother.

I am the mother.

I don't see anything wrong with either. I personally love to work out and stay on shape and will find the time to do so. But I understand that is not what others love or want to do. I don't see why we have to bring down either mom.

The one on the left. I didn't have any pics to add because I'm a weirdo that doesn't really gain weight, but I also don't have much muscle tone in my stomach!

I agree. I feel my best after a couple mile run. It's my relaxation time :)

Degenerative disk disease, arthritis and a host of other ailments in my spine, shoulders and hands that I lost track of. The docs call it 'failed spinal surgery syndrome'.

I did lose almost 40lbs when my mom got sick and haven't gained much back.

I have other good qualities besides my looks = )

Thank God......it's Friday!!!

We, as women and mothers, should be accepting of both women. I personally don't have the drive to look like Mrs. Kang and 14+ years after my 'baby' was born and rapidly approaching 40, I'm content with my body. I'd like to be in better shape but my 'excuse' is a 2+ hour daily commute and wanting to spend time with my kids when I get home. My DF and I are looking for ways to stay physically active and I look forward to that. I know it's how I'll get I to better shape - being out having fun with him and the kids rather than spending hours in the gym.

I look something in between these two moms and both look good and healthy. I won't poo poo either one of them.

Be happy with what you got! And if you can't be, make changes.

I don't care what either of them look like, but I don't like the implication that everyone can or should look like the mom on the left. That it's laziness or some other 'excuse' that others don't look like her.

By that same logic, we could have Drs, Mensa members, etc. asking 'what's your excuse?'.
