Investigators have a good guess on the date of death based on the time stamp found on a receipt near a few unused cans of Coca-Cola. They believe the men died in early 2011.

CHATTANOOGA, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Two identical twins, who were 63 years old, were found dead in their recliners, years after they actually passed away. Chattanooga investigators and neighbors are scratching their heads after the badly decomposed remains were found over the weekend.

According to Action News 5's NBC affiliate, WRCB, Anthony and Andrew Johnson's mummified bodies were found sitting in their recliners in their living room.

The twins' sister reportedly tried to check on them in August 2011, but she did not have a key. Police would not force their way inside. Finally, this weekend, another family member was able to obtain a key and go inside.

Neighbors did not notice anything out of the ordinary, reports WRCB, because the grass was cut and the mailbox was not overflowing. Neighbors say they thought the men stayed inside because of health issues and struggles with diabetes.

Anthony and Andrew Johnson's family declined to comment on the case.

I wonder if a day or two passed between their deaths and the living twin was unable to cope with it and fired before coming out of grief long enough to call the coroner.
Of course, if they died at the same time, I'd be looking at poisons or toxins to make sure they weren't killed the same way at the same time from a gas leak or whatever.

Their sister tried to check on them once but, since the police wiuld not break the door down, nobody paid any attention to the fact they were never heard from again and tried again? Something is fishy here.

Almost 3 years and someone finally found a key? Who cut the grass? They didn't get any mail?
