Morality Evolves As Society Evolves...

I'm compiling a list of things that used to be considered moral ("moral" being defined as proactively moral, such as helping those in need, or passively moral as in, it wasn't considered immoral) and are now considered immoral.

So far I have the obvious:

Beating your wife

Beating your children

Slavery

Forcing a rape victim to marry her rapist

Animal sacrifice
Selling children
Children working in horrible conditions

What would you add?

I will update the OP as contributions are made.

Killing people for their property or power.

Stealing.

Rape.

Child marriage.

No-Rules war.

Letting the needs of the weakest or smallest in the group be neglected first in a time of crisis.

Good ones! I will have to add these when I'm not mobile anymore. For some reason it isn't letting me edit.

It should also be noted that there are still quite a few countries where many, if not all, of this list is still, in today's society, considered moral. It's sad and deplorable, but society has not evolved equally around the globe.

Can you explain how The Bill of Rights represented a shift in morality? I'm not really following.

I will not have a temper tantrum nor stomp across the floor.

I will not pout, scream or shout or kick against the door.

I will not throw my food around nor pick upon another.

I’ll always try to be real good because I am the mother.

I am the mother.

I am the mother.
