Do you agree that there is only one way to interpret/follow the teachings of Christ and if a church does not follow that exact teaching they should not have religious freedom under civil law?

Quote:

If they are preaching against the Bible then no they shouldn't have religious freedom under civil law. The Bible is the right way to live by. Their (sic) is only 1 God and 1 Bible and we are to try to live Christ like and live by what the Bible says.

I agree that there is only one way to follow/interpret the teachings of Christ-- Christ taught to "love the Lord your God" yada yada, and to "love your neighbor as yourself"... No other way to do that than live it.

If there was only one way to interpret the bible then there would not be so many denominations (IMHO).

Yes there would... There are plenty of other things to differ about: music choices, music length, sermon length, service starting time, etc...

If there was only one way to  interpret the Bible and teachings of Christ, there wouldn't be 95632475 denominations out there.  The most educated theologists in the world don't even agree on everything.

Our constitution demands that we have religious freedom, end of story.  We don't get to pick and choose.

According to some, there should be.

That's a church thing, not a denomination thing.
