Should every new park

Be required to have a handicap accessible area? We're discussing our towns lack of parks and a few moms said they need special needs areas. Do you agree?

I think it's a great idea- I also think every park should have bathrooms, and not just port-a-potties.

Any Public Park built after 2005 is expected to be comliant

The play area guidelines in this guide apply to all newly designed or constructed play areas

for children ages 2 and older.

This includes play areas located in a variety of settings: parks, schools, childcare facilities, shopping

centers, and public gathering areas. Owners or operators of newly constructed play areas are

responsible for complying with these guidelines.

The play area guidelines do not apply to:

• Family childcare facilities where the proprietor resides

• Amusement attractions

• Religious entities
