What should people on welfare have access to?

Should they be able to buy aspirin/nsaids?  Decongestants?  MJ for their MS, arthritis, fibro, siezure disorder, or anyother problem it helps?  Anti depressants?  Antibiotics?

Should they be able to have a beer?

What about taking a covered dish to a picnic?

Should they have sanitary products for feminine hygiene?

What do you think PA recipients should be able to buy?

Do you wish the earth would open up and swallow these people so your tax dollar can go for a whole lot of other federal projects you dont personally agree with?  Anything but to the lazy, stupid poor!

How far you go in life depends on your being: tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of both the weak and strong.  Because someday in life you would have been one or all of these.  GeorgeWashingtonCarver

I can't stand people who scrutinize poor people's purchases.

We need to seperate "career" welfare people and hard-working people who fell on hardtimes. There is a difference to me.... GL with this though....

I believe public assistance should only cover the basics people need to live. If they need, excuse me, want more than that then they need to find a way to earn it.

Um...what?

I think anyone who is that much up in the business of a poor person needs to back off and get a life. Being poor is hard enough without being treated as sub-human. SMH.

I don't understand it. What is so lacking in some people's lives that they need to micromanage the lives of others?

What, in your mind, constitutes "the basics"?

Should they be allowed medications (aspirin, decongestants, allergy meds, asthma inhalers)?

Should they be allowed tampons/sanitary pads?

How about a birthday cake for a kid once a year?

To go to a family picnic or a potluck and bring a dish to pass?

Or should they be issued a bag of rice once a month and told to FOAD?

Should we drop supplies on them from above?

We'd have to.  If there was a gate, they'd just storm it and one of them might actually touch one of us.  Can't have that.
