The Grand Jury In Michael Brown Shooting Case Is Mostly White

I wrote in one of my other posts the grand jury would include three black jurors, tops, based on the racial demographics of the county which is 70% white which means it will not match the demographics of Ferguson which is 77% black.

I guess that's only right; Darren Wilson is being judged by his peers.

The grand jury that began hearing evidence Wednesday in the case of the fatal shooting of unarmed, black teen Michael Brown is primarily white, according to theSt. Louis Dispatch.

There are three black people on the grand jury, one man and two women. The rest of the jury comprises six white men and three white women. The demographics of the jury roughly coincide with the racial makeup of St. Louis County itself, which is 68 percent white and 24 percent black. But race has already played a major role in this case, as it has garnered international attention and sparked conversation about racial discrimination and inequality prompting demonstrators to protest nationwide.

According to the Missouri attorney general's office, the grand jury will decide whether a crime has been committed and "whether there is probable cause to believe the defendant committed it.” If the jury makes that decision, it can issue an indictment formally charging the defendant.

Police said Brown was shot multiple times on Aug. 9 after being confronted by a white officer. Authorities initially offered vague details about the confrontation but said the officer involved had been placed on administrative leave. The FBI opened an investigation into Brown's death last week.

So, what is necessary is for the race of the victim to judge the race of the officer? Forgo representing the demographic of the county, which is the norm, they should do it by what? The street he was shot on?

Or are you saying is white people can't be fair period? The white people picked will side with their race matching officer and ignore the facts?

Please explain further how race should be added and subtracted as it is necessary to appease certain situations.

Black kids should only be shot in 100% black counties apparently.

That isnt surprising. White folks folks have juries of their peers which consists of mostly white folks and black folks have juries of their peers which consists of.....mostly white folks. Basically most juries appear to be mostly white folks regardless of the race of the accused.

My hope is that the jury can focus on the last moments of the shooting.

The 5 eye witnesses to one hear say witness.

I hope they ask themselves. Why did officer Wilson shoot 6 bullets into a young male at 20 ft away.

Was this man surrendering? Was the officer in fear of his life at the moment he fired 6 times?

All the other character assasination is just drama and a deversion. Why did officer Wilson shoot Michael Brown 6 times?

Being a thug, their,or even a hit in the face is no need to execute him.

I hope they are impartial and look at the facts presented. There has been  a lot of support for Michael Brown from the entire community, black and white.

“Life they say, can turn on a dime. And in a world that constantly shifts beneath our feet, the only thing we can know for certain is how we feel, the love we have, the fear we hide from, the pain we push away. Give it a voice, and the rewards are piece of mind and a peaceful heart.”

So we can assume that all white people are racist or at the very least extremely biased?

If black people are not registered to vote they cannot be added to the pool of jury choices.

So the laws should have a race clause? How much should the victims race be considered and factored in verses the prosecuted?
Would you feel the same way if the races were reversed?

Interestingly the higher percentage of blacks in an area, the more likely a black will be shot

And that it won't make the news.

Quoting EmpireRegal: Black kids should only be shot in 100% black counties apparently.

His peers will be other people most likely to share his pov.  His  pov seems to be that it's okay to shoot and kill innocent black boys for walking down the middle of the street or for having big tummies that car doors bounce off of or for running away after being told they were going to be shot and then for being unaware that surrendering to a cop does not guarantee one will not be executed by said cop for said transgressions.
