Why am I seeing more and more people use this?? When did it become acceptable to spell "lose" as "loose"?

I know...not related to a current event but I feel like I see this at least once a day from different people.

The opposite of "tighter,"; more loose; less restrained.
Often confused with "loser," a word describing a person that nobody likes, by the idiots who wrote the other two definitions for this word.

Hahaha.

When I see people say "I want to loose weight." I think, why do they want their weight to jiggle everywhere.....and then I think "oh...they mean lose"

Bugs me how many people don't realise that they are affected by the effect of an event, but they effect change in others.

So often people use effect and affect reversed.

I don't generally care about it and can get the gist of what people say despite grammar and spelling mistakes (because i have plenty, I'm sure) but from CM and FB, I feel like I am seeing "looser" more and more....as if it's becoming more acceptable.
