Snow in North Carolina —Minnesota

Chapel Hill has about 8 1/2 inches so far! Everything is shut down, no school,holidays for all!
Raleigh-Durham Airport closes.
More snow in other parts of the state.
My son and his family are happy, making snowmen .
Anyone else there?
Have fun!
We have only had a couple of inches this winter in Minnesota.. Very unusual.

The storm has already passed us ... I'm on the mountain side of the state. My area got about 7-8 inches. We got out this morning before it got bad and went to the store.

I always chuckle when southern states like NC or VA shut down for a few inches.
But I also know that they don’t have the equipment like we do here in WNY.
When it snowed 7-9ft a few years ago, we were out within a week. They ran out of places to put the snow, lmao.

We got a little bit here. Every school in Alabama was closed today. My kids' school was closed yesterday too and on a three hour delay tomorrow. This weather is for the birds. This is the 4th snow day we've had this school year.

We're in Georgia & got about 3 inches of snow.  Everything has shut down.  We can't even get out of our cul de sac & if we could, we couldn't get up the hill to leave the neighborhood.  My husband parked our SUV near the entrance to our neighborhood before the snow so he could get to work this morning.  He has to go to work, calling out isn't an option.  He had to hike out & then hike in when he got home tonight.  I'm in a very small rural town, we don't have snow plows & we don't even have salt trucks.  It's pretty much "good luck" until it melts off.

Darwin wants some snow so bad he can't stand himself. Dh and i were talking and we don't think Darwin's seen snow on the ground since he was 2 or 3
