I have always believed in the death penelty.  If you take a life, then you should have no reason to live out your life, well cared for in our state prisons sucking up taxpayers money.  Also some people that are convicted of a "life sentence" that have parole after so many years for "good behavior"  I think life sentences should be put out of their misery as well.  Sounds harsh, but my daddy was a prison gaurd...two inmates...who are just nasty people disabled him for the rest of his life....I have a very harsh stance on some things I guess.  But honestly though...if you are sentenced 25-life or "death sentence"  Just get rid of them...They did something very awful in the first place...don't give them the chance of parole so they can be out on the streets again to reoffend!!

Not only do I believe in a death penalty..I feel if your crime was so gruesome then you should die the same way you killed that person.

I believe in the death penalty especially when the victims are young innocent children.

Yes and I believe it should be used more often...for example if someone gets life for murder and during his sentence he murders again in prison he should get the death penalty instead of another life sentence. I also think it should used in more specific crimes against children, even if the crime did not result in the child's death.

I totally agree with the death penalty. I too think it should be used more. We hear of the prisons being over crowded, well lets thin them out. Do we really need to make room for more murderers, repeat rapists, repeat child molesters/abusers?

yes i believe in the death penalty !  my brother was carjacked and shot to death and then his killer went back to set him on fire days later. he is now pleading  he is mentally retarded..which he is not. i am anxiously awaiting for his time to come and i will be there to witness it! unfortunately in the state of tx we have the lethal injection..i wish we had the electric chair!!  like one of the moms above said the way you kill is the way you should die!

it is unfortunate these criminals know how to play the system and prolong their death giving their victims families more inflicted pain by having to deal with court hearings yr after yr when they did there crime it only took an instant! why do they get to get to plead for their lives when their poor victims couldn't plead for theirs!

i am 100% for the death penalty.  I think it should even be expanded to include child molesters and serial rapists.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I just don't understand why people can be so sick!  I really hope you see justice for your brother, it doesn't sound to me like he can stand on that mental retardation plee, since he obviously was thinking clear enough to go back and set him on fire, that just saddens and disgusts me that someone could do that.  I am so sorry.

I have to agree, esspically since the more we learn about child molesters the more proof we get that they can't be rehabilitated.
