There is a book out called the Invention of Air that discusses a scientist named Priestly, the founder of the Unitarian church in the young US and someone who shaped Jefferson's views of religion. He was apparantly very close to the other founding fathers including Franklin and Adams. I know the topic of the founding fathers religious beliefs was brought up in previous posts and I thought this book might be an interesting read on the subject. I'm gonna check by library for it today.
BTW Stephen Colbert interviewed the author last week I think about the book.
