Only to people who do not know or fail to recognize the FACTS. The battle flag was designed AFTER the Emancipation so, no it doesn't represent slavery, since slavery was abolished by the time it was designed. The ONLY flags under which it was represented were the American flags from 1776- 1861. These are the flags that represented the institution of slavery in America.
