Hot Topic (4/24): Is being gay a choice?

Some say that people choose to be gay.

Others insist that being gay is merely biological.

What do you say?

Can any of us help who we are attracted to?  I'm not attracted to blonde men.  Or red haired men either.  Is it a choice?  I guess.  But seriously, I have never been able to change it so wouldn't that imply that there's something more to it than just personal choice?

It is definitely a CHOICE....we are not born gay...there is not a gay gene...its plain and simply a choice decision

Only the biblically irrational would say that it is a "choice."  Or at least those are the only ones 'round here that come off as all-knowledgeable and got all the answers on this topic...

meanwhile they are getting their hate on...(they change into their hate robes behind their bibles), and readying their bible quoting justifications before spewing said hate...

Being gay is not a choice.

People used to commit suicide because they were gay and couldn't stop it.

Being gay is also healthy and normal. It is also not an all-or-nothing issue. Some people are strictly homo, some strictly hetero, some are bi, and others have varying degrees of either/both.

It's all good!

There are geneticists who would disagree.
